Facts about the 2004 Maserati Spyder GT

Maserati has been blessed with many award-winning designs, including the Maserati Spyder of 2004. There are two trim levels to the Spyder, including Cambiocorsa and GT. The GT version is one of the more popular options. Like in 2003 the popular 4.2 liter has made this a popular choice for convertible buyers across the country.
Maserati Spyder Engine Specs
The restyled Spyder GT is equipped with a Maserati/Ferrari 4.2-liter 8-cylinder engine that utilizes a total of 32 valves. The engine is paired with a Ferrari 6-speed transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Maserati.
The Spyder uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The car uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.
The fuel system for the 2004 Spyder is a traditional Bosch ME-7.3.2, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 23.00 gallons.
Vehicle Statistics
The dimensions of the Spyder GT are 71.70 inches wide by 169.40 inches long. It sits a comfortable 51.40 inches off the ground. It seats a standard two passengers, with 2 doors. The wheelbase of 96.10 allows for limited leg room for the backseat passengers.
There is a 50,000 mile, 48 month warranty with this vehicle, including a powertrain warranty of 50,000/48 miles/months. This is normal for this price range.
The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $89,622 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of an industry-high price. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Convertible.
Fuel Efficiency
The 2004 Spyder gets 17 miles/gallon on the highway and only 11 in the city. This is exceptional for a convertible car.
