In 2008 Maserati released the Quattroporte Executive GT to the car-buying market. The Quattroporte came in three configurations: Base, Executive GT, Sport GT, and Sport GT S. The Executive GT configuration is powered by the 4.2-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 23 highway miles and 17 city. The Quattroporte competes in the Sedan market segment, in direct competition with Honda.

Maserati Quattroporte Engine Specs

The Quattroporte Executive GT is equipped with a Maserati/Ferrari 4.2 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 32 valves. The engine is mated to a ZF 6-speed Transmission. This is a long-standing favorite for buyers in the Sedan arena.

Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The Quattroporte has power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The 2008 model year was telling year for the Maserati Quattroporte. The introduction of several trim levels (along with the Executive GT version) meant that buyers had several options to choose from..
