Our Review of the 2007 Maserati Coupe GT

Maserati has been blessed with many award-winning designs, including the Maserati Coupe of 2007. There are two trim levels to the Coupe, including GT and Cambiocorsa. The GT version is one of the more popular options. Like in 2006 the popular 4.2 liter has made this a popular choice for coupe buyers across the country.

Maserati Coupe Engine Specs

The Coupe GT is equipped with a Maserati/Ferrari 4.2 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 32 valves. The engine is mated to a Ferrari 6-speed Transaxle. This is a long-standing favorite for buyers in the Coupe arena.

The Coupe uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The car uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.

The fuel system for the 2007 Coupe is a Bosch ME-7.3.2 design, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel flow is regulated by a electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The storage capacity of the fuel tank is 23.80 gallons.

Vehicle Statistics

The dimensions of the Coupe GT are 74.60 inches wide by 198.90 inches long. It sits a comfortable 56.60 inches off the ground. It seats a standard five passengers, with 2 doors. The wheelbase of 120.60 allows for limited leg room for the backseat passengers.

The standard warranty period for the Coupe is 48 months, or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This is standard in the coupe market.

The listed retail price in 2007 (MSRP) was $110,600, with an invoice cost of an industry-high price. This price is above average of the industry average price for a two-door Coupe.

Fuel Efficiency

The Coupe GT received a miles-per-gallon rating of thirteen in-city driving and eighteen when it came to long-distance. Being a gas-powered non-green car, this was exceptional.

In 2006 and 2007 the Coupe GT was availble in the exterior colors of Custom Exterior Color.

We Think...

The 2007 model year was telling year for the Maserati Coupe. The introduction of several trim levels (along with the GT version) meant that buyers had several options to choose from..

Good article. At first I felt like I needed to refute your review of the Maserati Coupe, but after further reflection I can see your point of view. Perhaps my personal Coupe GT is an abberation. What is everyone else’s experiences?
