Improving on 2008′s Model: The 2009 F430 Revisited

There have been several award-winning cars from Ferrari over the years, including the Ferrari F430 of 2009. There are three trim levels to the F430, including Base, Scuderia, and Spider. The Scuderia version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2008 the popular 4.3 liter has made this a popular choice for coupe buyers nationwide.

Under the Hood

The restyled F430 Scuderia is equipped with a 4.3-liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 32 valves. The engine is mated to a Ferrari six-speed transaxle. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2008 version.

The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The F430 uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. Load balancing is provided by coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The F430 Scuderia received a miles-per-gallon rating of seventeen in-city driving and twenty three when it came to highway driving. Being a gas-powered non-hybrid car, this was within normal parameters.

There are several reasons why the Ferrari F430 Scuderia sold well in 2009. Mainly the increase in availability and a marked improvement in quality meant the buying public was more apt to choose a Ferrari, specifically a F430.
