Not Your Father’s F430 – The 2006 Ferrari F430 Base

The F430 Base is equipped with a Ferrari 4.3 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 32 valves. The engine is mated to a Ferrari 6-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Ferrari.

Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The F430 comes equipped with power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The F430 is 177.60 inches long, 75.70 inches wide, and 47.80 inches high. It has a wheelbase of 102.40 inches. It is able to seat 2 comfortably.

The standard warranty period for the F430 is 24 months, or Unlimited miles, whichever comes first. There is also a warranty on the powertrain for 24 months or Unlimited miles respectively. This is standard in the coupe market.

Fuel Efficiency

The fuel system for the 2006 F430 is a traditional Bosch ME-7, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 25.00 gallons.

The F430 Base received a miles-per-gallon rating of eleven in-city driving and sixteen when it came to highway driving. Being a gas-powered non-hybrid car, this was within normal parameters.

The 2006 model year was very successful for the Ferrari F430. The introduction of several trim levels (along with the Base version) meant that buyers could find the version that best suited their needs.
