The Ferrari F50 Base for 1996: Improving on 1995

The 1996 F50 is an important vehicle to Ferrari for the coupe market segment. The Base is a member of a series of one trim levels for the F50 which include Base. The two-door car with its rear-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Ferrari. There is strong competition from vehicles from Lexus.

The restyled F50 Base is equipped with a 4.7-liter twelve -cylinder engine that utilizes 60 valves. The engine is mated to a Ferrari six-speed transaxle. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 1995 version.

The fuel system for the 1996 F50 is a traditional Bosch ME-2.7, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 12 gallons.
