The Base configuration is powered by the 3.5-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 23 highway miles and 17 city. The F355 Spider competes in the Convertible market segment, in direct competition with Toyota.
A high point in the convertible market is the Ferrari F355 Spider. In 1997 Ferrari rolled out an upgraded version of the F355 Spider with one versions: Base. Sales for the F355 Spider, especially the F355 Spider Base, were brisk during 1997 and 1998. The improved reliability and the updated styling were responsible for the increased interest.
