The 1998 Lamborghini Diablo VT was introduced to compete in the coupe market. The VT is a member of a series of two trim levels for the Diablo which include SV and VT. The two-door car with its all-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Lamborghini. There is strong competition from vehicles from Hyundai.
The Diablo VT is equipped with a Lamborghini 5.7 liter twelve -cylinder engine that utilizes 48 valves. The engine is mated to a Lamborghini 5-speed Transmission. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Lamborghini.
There have been several award-winning cars from Lamborghini over the years, including the Lamborghini Diablo of 1999. There are two trim levels to the Diablo, including VT and SV.
